Behavioural Interviewing Training

Is your selection process based on a hunch or a "gut-feel"? Did you know that research has shown that "gut-feel" interviews have less that a 50% chance of identifying the best candidate who will fit into your environment?

Can you afford the costs of hiring the wrong candidate - and missing the "right" candidate? Do your hiring managers have the skills to conduct professional interviews that identify the best candidate? Are questions based on job related requirements and competencies?

Our practical "hands-on" skill based training workshop is a "how to" session conducting successful behavioural interviews. The behavioural interviewing process uses a competency selection model as the basis of making a decision.

The training session is practical and "hands-on" - and includes a theoretical component, discussions, role-plays, and small group work. It can be completed in 1 to 2 days, and covers:

  • Introduction
  • Job/Role Analysis
  • Identifying Competencies
  • The Structure of an Interview
  • The Behavioural Interview
  • Questioning Techniques
  • Making the Selection Decision
